Idea: Equestrian Training Pedometer

I don't know if this device exists or not, but I'd like an electronic gadget that clips to a horses bridle or halter and records a horse's activity levels. At the end of a week a trainer could download the data via a USB connection or memory card and track the amount of walk, trot, canter, etc.

Specifically I'd like to put one of these on Cali's bridle so I can track how much time she spends during lessons, practice and training sessions centering and trotting.

Such a device could also be used to gauge the activity level of horses during turnout periods, i.e. the amount of time spent grazing, sleeping and frolicking.
