Cascade Vaulters

The Cascade Vaulters competed at the Flying Stars Barrel Fest in Wilsonville, Oregon this past Saturday (2/25). We did very well, bringing home first place ribbons in several classes and second place is a few others. First places finishes [and scores] included:

• Ryan in Individual Beginner Freestyle [7.1]
  
• Vale in Individual Intermediate Freestyle [7.4]
  
• Sandy & Vale in Intermediate Doubles Freestyle [7.1]
  
• Sonya, Sandy, Vale & Ryan in Intermediate Team Freestyle [6.6]

This was our first competition of the 2006 season and was just on the vaulting barrels. So Cali didn't get to go.

Sadly the lighting in the arena was very dark, so I don't think we got any pictures.

Our next competition will be the "Vaulters of the Northwest Spring Fest", April 29-30 in Lakewood, WA (just south of Tacoma). Our club is one of three clubs organizing this next show. It will be the first American Vaulting Association recognized competition in our region this year and is expected to draw competitors from WA, OR & BC.
